Alpha Kappa Alpha emphasizes financial planning, asset accumulation, and wealth building including savings and investments, managing debt, and improving credit. 

• DTO increases direct member support of Black Businesses by concurrently raising community awareness of strategies that positively impact African American entrepreneurs and their businesses that building wealth in the African American community. 

• We partner with the local food bank (Feeding the Gulf Coast) to supply goods and services to the homeless and individual families.

• We partner with Wings of Life to serve during holidays and MLK Day of Service, and we had an ongoing relationship with St. Mary’s Home to bring the children cheer and gladness on many occasions before their closing. 

• During the COVID-19 Pandemic, we donated over $5,000 to assist community agencies to care for our homeless population and those in need. Additionally, we help to distribute food boxes to the elderly and homebound for their safety.
